Begun in the fall of 2001, the St. Ambrose University and Community Symphony Orchestra provides SAU students and community musicians an opportunity to perform music of the orchestral repertoire. The orchestra rehearses Wednesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. in Madsen Hall in the Galvin Fine Arts Center on the campus of St. Ambrose.

All 2011-12 SAUCSO members are automatically members of the orchestra for the current season and do not need to audition for the new Music Director/Conductor. Members new to the orchestra must schedule an audition with the Music Director prior attending rehearsals.

Nov 14 Sunday 3:00 pm Concert (with choir, but SAUCSO will also perform one selection on our own)
Nov 14 Sunday, 1:00pm touch-up rehearsal
Nov 13 Saturday, morning time TBA run-through with chorus
Nov 10, Weds, 7-9pm dress rehearsal orchestra only with Keith Haan conducting
*The entire string section will be utilized.
